7 Profound Truths - Why True Love Is the Foundation for Lasting Peace

What is True Love?

The cosmos can be seen as a great home where human beings are meant to live with each other in loving relationships—between parents and children, husband and wife, and brothers and sisters—with God at the centre. Though unseen, God guides these relationships, and the natural path of life is to grow as true sons and daughters, become true spouses, and ultimately true parents. These relationships form the foundation of the family, the ideal model of human life, and cannot be separated from the principle of the universe.

Read on to explore 7 Profound Truths - Why True Love Is the Foundation for Lasting Peace.

The family—parents and children, husband and wife, and siblings—stands as the ideal model of human relationships. Within this unity, love is meant to be fully received and shared. What brings harmony and fulfilment to these relationships is not money, knowledge, or power, but TRUE LOVE.

True love is expressed through complete investment—giving for the sake of others without expectation, even to the point of selflessness. In reaching this “zero point” of total giving, we become open to receive and return love in a continuous, life-giving cycle. This creates an eternal balance within relationships, where giving and receiving flow naturally. It is through these reciprocal relationships, centred on living for the sake of others, that the world finds its harmony.

This principle is reflected throughout creation. All things exist through relationships of giving and returning, forming a dynamic balance at the centre where God dwells. Within this flow, love, air, water, and light circulate, continually returning to their source. In this way, the universe sustains itself—through the eternal rhythm of love, connection, and balance.

My Hometown and Fatherland

At the deepest level, all people share one origin—God, the Parent of all humankind. Regardless of race, nationality, or culture, we are connected as one human family. Differences in appearance are simply adaptations to the environment. All people share the same fundamental nature and infinite value, bone structure and blood types. Therefore, discrimination is not permissible.

Understanding this truth removes the basis for discrimination and calls us to recognise one another as brothers and sisters. Our true homeland is the Earth, where all humanity lives together, while our fatherland is the eternal dwelling place of God.

Then, where would you like to live? I believe that you would like to live in your hometown. Your hometown refers to the planet Earth in the cosmos, and your fatherland refers to God's dwelling place. Therefore, the ancestor of our fatherland is ultimately God. The place where parents, spouses, children, and siblings live together is our hometown. That is the original planet Earth, where people of black, white, and yellow skin live together in harmony.

The Principle of Living for the Sake of Others

What makes a good person? We can come up with various answers to that question, but one that must be included is that a good person is one who returns more than he or she has given. For this reason, no parents wish that their children be inferior to them. On the contrary, they desire that their children be superior to them. Likewise, a husband desires that his wife be better than he is, and vice versa. Furthermore, an elder brother desires that his younger brother be better than he is, and vice versa.

Thus, parents wish to return something greater than that which they have received. Both spouses wish for this. Siblings wish for this. All creation wishes for this. Ultimately the universe wishes for this. Moreover, only those who believe with broad vision and heart that the cosmos is their hometown, will be welcomed by the cosmos. One can conclude, only when one is welcomed first by the individual, then by the family, the nation, the world, and finally by the cosmos, can one become God's divine son or daughter and dwell in the Fatherland.

Those who live for the sake of others—investing fully and forgetting their investment—naturally become central figures in their families and communities. This principle applies not only in the family but also in society, where such individuals become leaders, patriots, and people of true character.

Love, Life, and Lineage

There is no conflict where love exists. Although you come from different towns and nations, you cannot help but share the same true hometown and fatherland centred on love, because all creation desires to go to the central point of creation. The most important matters in the human world are love, life, and lineage.

God's ideal of creation is to bequeath to us true love, true life, and true lineage by having us become true persons.

Life is created through love, then lineage is established. If the true lineage is not established, true love will not arise. Therefore, love that is not connected to true life is false. True life is seeded through the relationship of true love and true lineage. Thus, the path to the Kingdom of Heaven can be opened only through true love, true life, and true lineage.

The Family as the Foundation of Peace

The family is the starting point of all relationships and the foundation of peace. It is within the family that love is first experienced, nurtured, and expressed. From this foundation, love expands to the community, the nation, and the world.

The family becomes the central “house of love,” where each member lives for the sake of others. When families embody this principle, society naturally moves toward unity and harmony.

One Cosmos Under God

Humanity is moving beyond divisions of nation, race, and ideology, toward a greater vision—one cosmos under God. In this vision, all people are welcomed as members of one global family. True belonging comes when we are recognised not only as individuals but as contributors to our families, communities, nations, and ultimately the cosmos.

Looking at history and today's world, God is suffering and grieving tremendously. No matter how difficult, God gives and gives and gives everything to restore His sons and daughters. That is the context of God's love.

Whose children, are we? We all originated from the same Parent – the Heavenly Parent of all humanity, who is with us wherever we go, whatever direction we take. Understanding this, God is the Parent of all humanity and seeks to have a living relationship with us personally and individually.

The Promise of a Culture of Heart

When we live centred on true love—giving, serving, and investing in others—we align with the original design of life. This creates a Culture of Heart, beginning within ourselves and our families, then expanding outward to society and the world.

At the time of creation, God created the universe with absolute faith. God made us partners in love. Absolute true love means that one invests everything, totally and completely, then forgets about the investment, and then invests all over again. Such a process continues until you reach the zero point, without any concept of one’s selfish thoughts. Our Heavenly Parent has walked such a path.

Thus, the one who invests and forgets what he or she has invested becomes a central person. Likewise, the one who lives for the sake of others becomes a central person. Even in a family living together, including a grandmother and grandfather, the central person will be the one who is living most for the sake of others. The one who gives fully for the sake of others and forgets their investment, continuing this practice repeatedly, naturally becomes a central figure—a standard-bearer for the greater good and an example of true filial devotion.

The same is true in relation to patriotism in the nation. The more one invests and forgets about one's investment, the more one can rise as a patriot, a saint, and a divine son or daughter of God. Since the beginning of human history, God has been seeking to connect with each person individually and personally. Our Heavenly Parent continuously invests, forgets about the investment, and will continue to do so for eternity - living for humanity as our ultimate Ancestor.

The nation is the house of love that families can enter. The world is the house of love that nations can enter, and the cosmos is the house of love that the world can enter. The family of true love becomes a huge house of Heaven, the starting point and core of the cosmos. This means that the husband is the house of his wife's true love and the wife is the house of her husband's true love. Parents are the house of their children's true love, and children are the house of their parents' true love.

Moreover, the nation of true love is the resting-place of the cosmos, and God's nation is where true freedom, true love, and true life can dwell for eternity. This is because the centre of the realm in which heaven and earth can rest is the family in which a true man and woman in whom God can dwell are brought into union. We are no longer living in the age of nationalism or even globalism. We are now living in the age where each person can become one in heart with the living God.

This new millennium is an era where the promises of the Old and New Testaments are to be fulfilled. This direct dominion is a new era of God's transcendence, immanence, abundance, and sovereignty.

Conclusion

As was mentioned above, our Earth is the hometown of all humankind, and the spirit world is the eternal fatherland where all humanity will eventually arrive. The time has finally arrived for the ideal of the global family, centred on our Heavenly Parent, is to be realised on Earth.

The fundamental relationship between God and humankind is that of parent and child and our true hometown is the Earth where all humanity lives together, while our fatherland is the eternal dwelling place of God, our Heavenly Parent. The key is living a life of True Love through ‘living for the sake of others’.
